Hybrid diapers are a two part diapering system containing a waterproof outer cover and a separate absorbent liner. Depending on the manufacturer, the liner is either snapped or laid inside the diaper cover prior to placing on baby. Some manufacturers, such as Flip, also offer a disposable insert.

What makes a Hybrid system so great?  If it doesn’t get soiled, you can continue to reuse the diaper cover for a many diaper changes. Often, all that is needed is new dry insert!
