Washing Cloth Diapers

For families new to cloth diapers, laundry day can often conjure up the worst images---big buckets of poopy water, bleach and not to mention the odours! YUCK! Families often imagine the worst, but in reality it is really easy and painfree. Here are the basic steps to washing your cloth diapers:

1. Take diaper pail liner full of dirty diapers and accessories ( tote bags, wipes etc) to washer and turn the pail liner inside out into the machine. Turning the liner inside out will empty its contents into the washing machine without you having to touch a thing! Once the liner is empty toss the liner in the washing machine too!
2. Run a cold rinse or short wash cycle with no detergent
3. Run a hot wash with detergent--we recommend using ROCKIN' GREEN!
4. Rinse with plain water twice (any temperature)
5. Hang to dry or in place in dryer on medium/low heat setting- For reducing the time it takes to dry your diapers try using a Wool Dryer Ball!
